We inform you that the Biometric Experience, a technological solution aiming to optimize the passenger journey at the airport, making it simpler, faster, and more efficient, has been implemented at João Paulo II Airport - Ponta Delgada.
This feature is the result of a collaboration between the SATA Group, ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal, and VINCI Airports, available to passengers on eligible flights departing from or stopping over in Ponta Delgada.
What is it?
The Biometric Experience utilizes facial recognition technology to identify passengers at specific points along the airport journey and at boarding, reducing the need to constantly present documents and boarding passes.

- Passengers of legal age
